The temple holds significant religious importance, with devotees seeking blessings from both deities. The main deities are worshipped with their darshanam (sight) facing east, a common orientation in Hindu temple architecture.
The temple also worships several Upa Devatas or subsidiary deities, including Goddess Durga, Ganapathy, Subrahmanya, Hanuman, the Navagrahas (nine planetary deities), and Nagarajavu (serpent deity). These deities are revered for their protective and auspicious qualities, and devotees offer prayers to them for various blessings and remedies.
Festivals
