കാസർകോട് അടൂർ ശ്രീ മഹാലിംഗേശ്വര ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വാർഷിക മഹോത്സവം മാർച്ചിൽ നടക്കുന്ന 10 ദിവസത്തെ ഉത്സവമാണ്, അതിൽ മഹത്തായ ആചാരങ്ങളും സാംസ്കാരിക പ്രകടനങ്ങളും ചടുലമായ ക്ഷേത്രാഘോഷങ്ങളും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.

According to the mythology, during Dwapara Yuga, the Pandavas was dwelling in the forest. At that time, Lord Sreekrishna won the Mahabharatha war and asked Arjuna to do penance and ask for Lord Shiva's blessings.
According to that he conducted the penance in Kapardikanam which is now in the place where the temple is situated at present and known as Kavadikanam. Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi went to test Arjuna's penance and they acted before him. This story became the Sthalapurana of the temple's place. The festival is conducted as a celebration of the divine presence of the Lord in the temple.
Varshika Mahotsavam 2025 | Adoor Sree Mahalingeshwara Temple Kasargod
The Annual Festival is conducted in the temple with various rituals which are of origin of both Kerala and Karnataka. Yakshaganam which has its origin in Karnataka will be staged during the festival. Carnatic Classical Music is also an important event in the festival. Nattudeepolsavam is an event in which lots of lamps will be lit in and around the temple.
