This auspicious festival marks the divine anniversary of the consecration of Veda Matha Shri Gayathri Devi and Bhagavan Shri Nithyananda Gurudeva invoking divine blessings for peace, prosperity and spiritual awakening.
The highlight of the celebration is the powerful Nava Chandika Yaga, a grand Vedic fire ritual dedicated to Goddess Chandika, an embodiment of supreme Shakti. Conducted by learned priests in strict accordance with scriptural traditions, the yaga involves sacred chants from the Devi Mahatmyam offering of herbs and oblations into the holy fire and continuous recitation of mantras that sanctify the entire surroundings. Devotees gather in large numbers to witness and participate in this spiritually charged ceremony believing that it removes negative energies and grants strength, protection and divine grace.
The festival also includes special poojas, homams, devotional bhajans and spiritual discourses that deepen the devotees’ connection with the divine.
