The Sree Veerabhadra Mahamayi Temple is dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra, an incarnation of Lord Shiva born from his anguish over the death of Sati. According to legend, Veerabhadra was created from Shiva's perspiration to destroy a sacrifice.
The temple also reveres Mahamayi, a form of Adhiparasakthi, the supreme goddess of Hinduism, embodying divine feminine energy and creativity.
