Bharani Maholsavam
Bharani Maholsavam is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Meenam, beginning with the traditional Kodiyettam that marks the commencement of the festival. The celebration features special poojas, Deeparadhana (lamp worship) each evening, and a sacred Kalasha ritual where consecrated pots symbolizing divine presence are venerated.
Vishu
Vishu is a significant festival celebrated in Kerala, marking the Malayalam New Year, usually observed in the month of Medam (April). The day begins with Vishukkani an auspicious arrangement of items like rice, fruits, flowers, mirror, and a lit lamp, viewed first thing in the morning for prosperity and blessings.
