The temple is dedicated to Lord Sastha, also known as Lord Ayyappa, a revered deity in Hinduism who is worshipped for his role as a protector and guide. Vishu
At Karipody Sree Sastha Vishnu Temple, Vishu is celebrated with great devotion. The festivities include Vishukkani Darshanam, where devotees view an auspicious arrangement of items to mark the New Year. Vishukaineettam, the distribution of gifts and special offerings, is also carried out, embodying the spirit of generosity and gratitude. These rituals are performed to seek blessings for prosperity and happiness in the coming year.
Mandala Kalam
During Mandala Kalam at Karipody Sree Sastha Vishnu Temple, a series of special poojas and rituals are conducted over 41 days. The festivities include daily Vilakku and Bhajana, creating a spiritually enriching atmosphere. These practices are aimed at deepening devotion and seeking blessings from Lord Sastha.
