The festival unfolds over four days and includes a carefully structured sequence of rituals beginning with auspicious preparatory ceremonies such as Ganapathi Homam, Kalavara Nirakkal, and the ceremonial bringing of sacred lamps and materials from associated shrines. These initial rites are believed to sanctify the temple premises and invite divine presence for the days that follow. Central to the celebrations are the Theyyam performances where ritual artists embody divine forms such as Puliyoor Kannan, Narampil Bhagavathi, Kannangattu Bhagavathi, Puliyoor Kali and Vishnu Moorthi.
