Thalikkavu Bhagavathy Temple is situated in the Kannur Corporation near a place called Thalikkavu.Thalikkavu Bhagavathy is the family God of a family that migrated from Trivandrum to Kannur.
The legend behind the temple is that, once an old lady from the family had gone inside a deep forest to take some Thali (green leaves for bath). Later, the family members went in search of the lady and were surprised to see that the lady was performing frantic movements. On performing Astrological rituals, it was seen that there was a presence of the Goddess in the place and a temple was built thereby. The temple is centuries old. The Kshethrothsavam is an annual festival conducted in the temple in honor of the deity.

The festival begins with a special event called Thazhikakudam Vaykkal. Special Poojas for praising the
Goddess are conducted during the initial days of the festival. Procession to Sreekovil and to Kazhakappura are also held. The Theyyakolangal of this festival includes eight Theyyams such as Gulikan Vellattam, Veeran, Bhadrakali, Veerali, Puthiya Bhagavathy, Hankolam, Nagakanya and Valiya Thamburatti. Thiruvathirakali and Cultural Programs are staged during the festival. Annadanam is a special offering for the devotees in the festival season.
