Sree Kannagatt Bhagavathy Temple is a temple with centuries old history. The temple was constructed with the belief that the place had a presence of the Goddess in and around Kokkanisseri.

The Kaliyatta Mahotsavam is a festival conducted once in two years in the Sree Kannagat Bhagavathy Temple in honour of the deity in the temple. The tantric rituals conducted during the festival increases the vigour of the deity in the temple.
The Kaliyatta Mahotsavam Festival of Sree Kannagatt Bhagavathy Temple is conducted for a period of four days. The main events during the festival are the Theyyam and the Vellattam of the deities in the temple. Mega Shows, Cultural Programs, Music Concerts, Dramas and Dance Programs conducted during the festival attract thousands of devotees to the temple during the festival season.

ശ്രീ കന്നഗാട്ട് ഭാഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം പല നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൾ പഴക്കമുള്ള ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം കൊക്കനിസ്സേരി പരിസരത്തിലും Goddess-ന്റെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യം ഉണ്ടെന്ന് വിശ്വസിച്ച് നിർമ്മിച്ചതാണ്. കലിയട്ട മഹോത്സവം ഏറെയാണ് രണ്ട് വർഷത്തിലൊരിക്കൽ ശ്രീ കന്നഗാട്ട് ഭാഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ദേവിയുടെ ആദരവായി നടത്തപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ഉത്സവം. ഈ ഉത്സവത്തിൽ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്ന താന്ത്രിക ചടങ്ങുകൾ ദേവിയുടെ ശക്തിയെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്നു. കലിയട്ട മഹോത്സവം 4 ദിവസങ്ങൾ നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന ഉത്സവമാണ്. ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന സംഭവങ്ങൾ ദേവികളായ തെയ്യം, വെള്ളാട്ടം എന്നിവയാണ്. ഉത്സവകാലത്ത് നടത്തുന്ന മെഗാ ഷോകൾ, സാംസ്‌കാരിക പരിപാടികൾ, സംഗീത കോൺസർട്ടുകൾ, നാടകം, നൃത്ത പരിപാടികൾ എന്നിവ കൂടുതൽ ആരാധകരെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്നു, അവർക്ക് ഒരു സവിശേഷ അനുഭവം നൽകുന്നു.
