Sree Koorba Bhagavathy temple is one of the famous temples in Payyannur with more than 200 years old history. Koorba bhagavathy is the main deity. Kaliyatta mahothsavam is the major annual festival celebrated in this temple which attracts thousands of people. Annual festival is conducted in order to increase the vigour of the deity.

The Kaliyattam Festival is conducted annually in Sree Koorba bhagavathy Temple with different varieties of
Theyyams. Thousands of people visit the temple during this time. Cultural activities such as drama, musical and
dance programs are staged during the festival Annadanam is an offering of food from the temple. Grand
fireworks take place on the closing day of the festival.
