Festivals
The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Ashtami Rohini
Ashtami Rohini, the birthday of Lord Krishna, is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Chingam, typically falling in August or September. The festivities include cultural programs, processions, and special poojas along with the offering of a special feast to devotees.
Kuchela Dinam
Kuchela Dinam is celebrated on the first Wednesday of the month of Dhanu, which typically falls in December. This observance is based on the belief that Kuchela, a devoted follower of Lord Krishna, offered Avil (parched rice) to him on this day, leading to his attainment of eternal bliss and material prosperity. Offering Avil is considered auspicious during this occasion, symbolizing devotion and seeking blessings for prosperity and happiness.
