Prathishta Dina Maholsavam at Muringeri Chettyanchal Sree Maheswara Temple commemorates the annual consecration anniversary of Lord Shiva’s idol, usually held in Kumbham. The celebrations begin with a Kalasha Pooja and Kalasha Abhishekam, accompanied by full priestly rituals to cleanse and revitalize the sanctum—believed to restore the idol's spiritual vitality through Prana Pratishtha
Navaratri Maholsavam
Navaratri Maholsavam at the temple is celebrated with deep devotion through rituals like special poojas, Ganapathi Homam, and Saraswathy Pooja. Highlights include Sahasra Deepa Samarppanam (offering of a thousand lamps), Ayudha Pooja, and Grandha Pooja. The festival concludes with Vidyarambham on Vijayadashami, where children are initiated into learning.
