The Manathana Chapparam Bhagavathy Temple is located in Manathana, Peravoor, in Kannur district.

It functions as a key subsidiary temple to the renowned Sri Kottiyoor Mahadeva Temple. Known as a Saptamatripuram due to its association with the seven mother goddesses Chamundi, Indrani, Varahi, Kumari, Maheshwari, Vaishnavi, and Brahmini the temple holds significant importance in the Shakta tradition in Kerala.

Neyyattam

The twenty-eight-day festival at the Manathana Chapparam Bhagavathy Temple commences with the Neyyattam ritual on the Chodi day in Edavam and concludes with the Thrikkalashaattu. During the Neyyattam ritual, devotees take a vow and bring ghee in vessels from this temple to the Kottiyoor temple. This act of carrying ghee symbolizes devotion and commitment, forming a significant part of the festival's customs and connecting the two sacred sites.

Thrikkarthika

The Manathana Chapparam Bhagavathy Temple celebrates Thrikkarthika, an important festival dedicated to the goddess Bhagavathy. During this festival, the temple is adorned with numerous oil lamps, creating a mesmerizing display of light that signifies the victory of light over darkness. Devotees participate in special poojas and rituals, including offering prayers and lighting lamps, to seek the blessings of the goddess for prosperity and well-being.
