Parakkezhunnallath is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honour of the Lord Ayyapa. This festival is conducted for collecting rice and rice covered with husk. It is conducted for almost a period of one month in the malayalam month Virchikam . Mostly 100 to 120 houses are covered per day. This festival is conducted on the behalf of Mandala Mahotsavam.

ഇടുക്കിയിലെ അനച്ചാൽ അയ്യപ്പ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ 16 ദിവസത്തെ വാർഷിക പരക്കേഴുന്നള്ളത്ത് മഹോത്സവം, നവംബർ-ഡിസംബർ മാസങ്ങളിൽ നടത്തപ്പെടും.

A team from the temple holding the holy statue of Ayyapa with elephants visit the houses, it includes all the houses that comes under each area. People in every house on the particular date clean and decorate putting shed over the roads and paths that leads to their houses. And each house receives the statue of lord Ayyapa with Irakki pooja. They will be holding Nirapara(for keeping rice) rice and other items are given as offerings.
