Vishu

During Vishu at Thekkechira Sree Mahavishnu Temple in Kaliyar, Idukki, special rituals performed are Vishukkani Darshanam and Nirapara Samarpanam. Vishukkani Darshanam involves the early morning viewing of an auspicious arrangement of items such as rice, fruits, flowers, a mirror, and a lit lamp, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune for the coming year.
