Meenapoora Maholsavam
Pradosham is a sacred time in Hinduism dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva.During pradosha, the bull Nandi in all the Shiva temples in South India is worshipped.Devotees often visit Shiva temples during Pradosham to participate in the rituals and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.
Maha Shivaratri
During Maha Shivaratri, devotees fast throughout the day and night, engage in meditation, prayers, and participate in special rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva. Many devotees visit Shiva temples, where they offer prayers, perform abhishekam with milk, water, honey, and other auspicious substances, and chant the sacred mantra Om Namah Shivaya to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.
