Mahashivaratri Maholsavam
Mahashivaratri Maholsavam at Sree Rajakkadu Mahadeva Temple is a solemn yet vibrant celebration in honor of Lord Shiva. The festival features a Ghoshayatra, a devotional procession accompanied by traditional music and lighting, followed by Deeparadhana—an elaborate lamp worship to illuminate the sacred night. The highlight is the Mahashivaratri Pooja, a powerful night-long worship with offerings of bilva leaves, abhishekam, and chanting of Shiva mantras by priests and devotees.
Pradosham
Pradosham is a sacred bi-monthly observance in Shaivism that takes place on the 13th lunar day of both the waxing and waning moon phases. Devotees throng the temple during the special Pradosha Kalam the twilight period to perform rituals like abhishekam, bilva leaf offerings, and deepa aradhana, seeking Lord Shiva's grace for divine forgiveness and spiritual upliftment.
