എറണാകുളം പുരപ്പില്ലിക്കാവ് ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ തിരുവുത്സവം 2026 മാർച്ച് 15 മുതൽ മാർച്ച് 22 വരെയാണ് ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടുക, പാരമ്പര്യ ചടങ്ങുകൾ, യാത്രകൾ, സാംസ്കാരിക പരിപാടികൾ എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.

Thiruvutsavam at Purappillykaavu Bhagavathy Temple in Ernakulam is one of the most vibrant and spiritually enriching festivals in Kerala. Celebrated with great devotion and grandeur, this annual festival brings together devotees from across the region to witness the rich traditions and cultural heritage of the temple.
The festival is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy, and the temple comes alive with a series of sacred rituals, ceremonial processions and cultural performances that reflect the deep-rooted religious customs of the region.
The festival begins with the ceremonial flag hoisting marking the official commencement of Thiruvutsavam. Throughout the days of celebration, the temple hosts various poojas including Palliyunarthal, special Abhishekams, Ganapathi Homams and other elaborate offerings. Majestic processions featuring beautifully adorned elephants accompanied by traditional musical ensembles like Nadhaswaram, Panchavadyam and Chenda Melam add to the festive spirit. Devotees actively participate in these processions, carrying lamps and performing rituals with great devotion creating a lively and spiritual atmosphere around the temple premises.
In addition to the religious ceremonies, the festival showcases Kerala’s rich cultural heritage through Kalamezhuthu, folk songs, classical music performances and traditional art forms. The evenings are particularly mesmerizing with Niramala, Deepa Aaradhanam and fireworks illuminating the temple grounds creating a magical and divine ambiance.
