The festivities begin with Laksharchana on 25th January 2026, where devotees gather to offer prayers and chant the sacred hymns dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya. The festival officially commences with Kodiyettam (flag hoisting) on 26th January 2026, marking the start of a week-long celebration filled with religious and cultural events. One of the major highlights is Pallivetta, the divine hunt ceremony held on 31st January 2026 symbolizing the victory of good over evil. Devotees witness this ceremonial hunt with great reverence and participate in the accompanying rituals.
