Thiruvutsavam at Kadungalloor Sree Narasimha Swami Temple is one of the most vibrant and spiritually enriching festivals in Kerala celebrated with great devotion, traditional grandeur and community participation. Thiruvutsavam Kadungalloor Sree Narasimha Swami Temple Ernakulam Kerala Dedicated to Lord Narasimha, the fierce and protective avatar of Lord Vishnu, the temple becomes a hub of divine energy, cultural expression and religious fervor during this annual festival. The celebration reflects Kerala’s rich heritage of temple rituals, classical performing arts and age old customs passed down through generations.

The festival is marked by a series of elaborate rituals that begin with the ceremonial flag hoisting, symbolizing the formal commencement of the Thiruvutsavam. Devotees gather in large numbers to witness the Sahasrakalasham, a sacred ritual involving the consecration of a thousand kalashas filled with holy substances signifying prosperity, abundance, and divine blessings. Daily poojas including the early morning Nirmalya Darshan and Sreebali create an atmosphere of devotion and sanctity within the temple precincts. Cultural programs form an integral part of the Thiruvutsavam bringing together traditional music, classical dance, Ottan Thullal, Chakyar Koothu and other Kerala art forms.
