This renowned Shiva temple features an idol of Lord Shiva with his third eye open, known as Agni Pratishta. To counterbalance the potential harmful effects of the fire emanating from the idol, a pond is situated to the east of the temple, aligned with the sanctum.

Additionally, the temple houses an idol of Lord Ganapati. Adjacent to Thiruvaloor Mahadeva Temple is Keezhanikavu, which serves as a subsidiary temple with idols of Vishnu, Bhagavati, and Nagas.
