Aswathy-Bharani Maholsavam
Aswathy-Bharani Maholsavam at Thankalam Bhagavathi Temple is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Kumbham with deep spiritual fervor. The festival features daily recitation of the Bhagavatha Purana, invoking the divine presence of the Goddess through sacred storytelling. A heartfelt pongala ritual is conducted, where devotees prepare and offer sweet rice in the temple precincts, followed by special poojas that include abhishekam all honoring the Goddess with devotion and reverence.
Navaratri
Navaratri is celebrated with deep reverence throughout the nine nights, honoring the divine feminine in all her forms. The festival highlights include Vidyarambham, during which young children are initiated into learning by writing the first letters under the Goddess's blessings, Grandha Pooja, where sacred texts are ceremonially worshipped and Ayudha Pooja, in which tools, instruments, and everyday implements are beautifully adorned and venerated.
