Sreenivasa Kovil Thripunithura, located in Ernakulam district of Kerala is a renowned and spiritually significant temple dedicated to Lord Narasimha Moorthi, an incarnation of Lord Mahavishnu. This sacred shrine is deeply associated with the Kudumbi community who originally migrated from Goa and later settled in Kerala preserving their unique cultural and devotional traditions through this temple. The temple is believed to have been established with the support of the Maharaja of Cochin who allotted land and encouraged the development of this spiritual center.

Annual Festival (Vanjiyeduppe Mahotsavam)
The Annual Festival of Sreenivasa Kovil is the most significant celebration in the temple attracting devotees from various parts of Kerala. A unique highlight of this festival is Vanjiyeduppe, a traditional ritual in which a beautifully decorated boat is used in the temple pond as part of the ceremonial proceedings. This rare Vaishnava tradition adds a distinctive cultural identity to the temple festival.

Arattu Festival
The Arattu Festival marks the concluding day of the annual celebrations at Sreenivasa Kovil. On this auspicious occasion, the idol of the presiding deity, Lord Narasimha Moorthi, is taken in a grand procession to the temple pond for the ritual bath. Accompanied by devotional chants, traditional percussion ensembles and decorated elephants, the procession creates a spiritually uplifting experience for devotees.
