Okkal Sree Krishna Bhagavathy Temple Ernakulam

Ashtami Rohini

Thalappoli Festival

The Thalappoli festival is a vibrant celebration observed during the month of Medam in the Malayalam calendar. During this festival, devotees, especially women, carry traditional lamps (thalappoli) decorated with flowers and leaves as offerings to the deity. It is a joyous occasion filled with music, dance, and rituals, symbolizing devotion and gratitude towards the divine.
