Thalapoli Maholsavam

Kumbha Bharani Aghosham
Kumbha Bharani Aghosham at Nayarambalam Bhagavathy Temple involves elaborate rituals and ceremonies. The Udayasthamana Pooja is performed, a unique ritual where continuous prayers and offerings are made from sunrise to sunset. Deepalankaram, the lighting of traditional lamps throughout the temple premises, symbolizes the dispelling of darkness and the invocation of divine blessings. Pongala, a sacred offering of boiled rice, jaggery, coconut, and other ingredients cooked in earthen pots, is prepared by devotees during the festival as a gesture of gratitude and devotion to the goddess.
