. Located atop a hill at Chengamanad, about 30 km north of Kochi, this place is steeped in mythology. Legend has it that sage Jangaman resided here around 2000 years ago, and the area was initially known as Jangaman, later changed to Chengamanad.
The temple, consecrated by Chattambi Swamikal in 1898, is believed to be where the sage meditated.
