Dashavathara charthu
Dashavathara charthu is a special ritual where the ten incarnations (avatars) of Lord Vishnu are symbolically invoked and honored through offerings and ceremonial arrangements. It represents the divine descent of Vishnu in various forms like Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, Balarama, Krishna, and Kalki to restore dharma and protect the universe.
Ayilyam Pooja
Ayilyam Pooja on the Thulam month is a sacred ritual dedicated to serpent gods, especially Nagaraja and Nagayakshi, performed on the day when the Ayilyam star falls. Devotees offer milk, turmeric, flowers, and noorum paalum to serpent idols or groves, seeking protection, fertility, and relief from Sarpa doshas.
