Ayilyam Pooja on the Thulam month is a sacred ritual dedicated to serpent gods, especially Nagaraja and Nagayakshi, performed on the day when the Ayilyam star falls. Devotees offer milk, turmeric, flowers, and noorum paalum to serpent idols or groves, seeking protection, fertility, and relief from Sarpa doshas.
