The main deity worshipped here is Goddess Bhagavathy, known as Karthakadu Bhagavathy, who is one of the seven deities participating in the famous Pooram gathering at the Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple.
Karthakkattu Bhagavathi Temple conducts daily poojas including Nirmalyam, Usha Pooja, and Deeparadhana, with offerings of flowers, agarbathi and garlands to Goddess Bhagavathy.

Prathishta Maholsavam

The Pooram Ezhunnallath marks the culmination of the festivities with great fervor and devotion.
Illam Nira
Illam Nira is the first harvest of paddy and the subsequent ritual of worshipping the paddy and offering it to the Devi. This ritual is conducted in all major temples in Kerala midway through the month of Karkidakam. It signifies gratitude for the harvest and seeks blessings for prosperity and abundance from the deity.
