Maholsavam
The annual Maholsavam is celebrated with great fervor and includes a variety of elaborate rituals. Key events during the festival are the Kalam Pooja, Vishumaya Kalam, Kurumbamuthi Kalam, Nagaraja and Yakshi Kalam, along with Poomoodal (flower offerings) and a vibrant Ghoshayatra (procession). The festival culminates with the Guruthi, a sacred ritual offering to the deity, drawing large numbers of devotees who seek blessings and participate in the festivities.
Pongala
Pongala offering is a significant ritual held during the Malayalam month of Makaram. Devotees, primarily women, gather to prepare the sacred offering of Pongala, which is a sweet dish made from rice, jaggery, and coconut, cooked in earthen pots. This offering is made to Goddess Bhagavathi to seek her blessings for prosperity, health, and well-being, and the event is marked by a sense of devotion and community spirit.
