Cherai Pooram

Cherai Pooram is a grand festival celebrated at Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple in the Malayalam month of Makaram (January-February). The festival includes the colorful Kavadi Ghoshayatra, majestic Ezhunnallathu (procession with elephants), and the sacred Arattu (holy bath of the deity). Devotees also offer Pongala as part of the celebrations.

Mandala Chirappu Maholsavam

Mandala Chirappu Maholsavam at Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple is a 41-day long festival celebrated with devotion during the Vrischikam month. A major highlight is the Karthika Deepam observed on the Karthika star, where thousands of lamps are lit, creating a divine and vibrant atmosphere in honor of Lord Muruga.
