Shiva is revered here in his ascetic form, making worship with fragrant offerings like flowers and incense sticks prohibited. The annual poojas, conducted in March, mark significant ceremonies at the temple, where the deity is revered as Rn Mochaka, the liberator of debts.
The temple administration, comprising Gurukkal, Ambalavasis, and other prominent families like Nambiars, Sharodys, and Marars, plays a crucial role in maintaining its traditions and rituals.
