Mandala Makara Vilakku
During the Mandala Makara Vilakku festival at Cheenam Chira Bhagavathi Sastha Temple, special Deeparadhana and poojas are performed continuously for 41 days, known as Mandala Kalam. This period is marked by intense devotion and rituals dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, attracting numerous devotees who seek blessings and spiritual fulfillment.
Vishu
Vishu at the Cheenam Chira Bhagavathi Sastha Temple is celebrated with traditional fervor, marking the Malayalam New Year. The festivities begin with the Vishukani, an auspicious arrangement of items like rice, fruits, flowers, coins, and a lighted lamp, viewed first thing in the morning to ensure prosperity and good fortune for the year ahead. Vishukaineettam, the practice of giving money or gifts to younger family members. Devotees visit the temple to seek divine blessings, participating in special prayers and rituals.
