The festival is observed for nine days with special poojas, Deeparadhana, and continuous chanting of sacred hymns. Devotees take part in Lalitha Sahasranama archana and seek blessings for knowledge, prosperity, and protection. The temple atmosphere becomes deeply devotional with traditional rituals and cultural offerings performed throughout the festival period.
Mandalakaalam Festival
The Mandalakaalam Festival is a significant annual celebration at Sree Anchumana Devi Temple marked by elaborate rituals and vibrant devotional activities. Special poojas and traditional ceremonies are conducted during this period, attracting a large number of devotees. A key highlight of the festival is the Thalappoli procession, where devotees carry lamps and flowers in a colorful and devotional procession. The festival concludes with a grand Ezhunnellippu procession featuring traditional percussion ensembles, cultural performances and strong community participation reflecting Kerala’s rich temple traditions.
