The Thrikkarthika Mahotsavam at the Gandharvamuttam Bhagavathy Temple is one of the most spiritually vibrant and culturally rich celebrations observed by the devotees of the region. Dedicated to the divine mother Bhagavathy, the festival reflects the deep-rooted temple traditions of Kerala and the strong devotional bond shared by the local community with the presiding deity. Gandharvamuttam Bhagavathy Temple Festival at 2026 During the festival, the temple premises transform into a sacred and festive atmosphere filled with devotion, rituals, traditional art forms and vibrant cultural activities. Devotees gather from nearby villages and distant places to participate in the auspicious ceremonies and seek the blessings of the goddess. The celebrations begin with early morning temple rituals such as Nirmalya Darshan, Abhishekam, Ganapathi Homam and Ushapooja which are performed according to the traditional tantric practices followed in Kerala temples.

One of the major attractions of the festival is the Kavadiyattam, a devotional offering performed by devotees as an act of faith and gratitude. The rhythmic beats of traditional percussion instruments like Chenda, Thavil, and Nadaswaram create a spiritually uplifting atmosphere throughout the temple surroundings.
