The celebrations begin with the ceremonial awakening of the deity and Nirmalya Darshanam where devotees gather to witness the sacred remnants of the goddess. The day is filled with various poojas and homams including the Maha Ganapathi Homam performed with precision and devotion by the temple priests. The rituals are accompanied by classical instrumental music such as Nagaswaram and Thavil creating a divine ambiance that elevates the spiritual experience of all attendees.
A key highlight of the festival is the procession of decorated elephants which carry the idol of the goddess through the temple grounds accompanied by traditional percussion ensembles like Panchari Melam.
