The Shrimad Ayyappa Bhagavatha Panchadina Yajnam 2025 festival is conducted at the Nagari Sri Dharmashastha Temple located in Poochakkal, Alappuzha. This festival is dedicated to Lord Ayyappa the revered deity of dharma, devotion and spiritual wisdom. Devotees from across Kerala and beyond gather at the temple to participate in this sacred event which combines the chanting of the Shrimad Bhagavatha with traditional rituals, devotional music and poojas.
The Yajnam begins on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 (Dhanu 01, 1201 Malayalam Era) and concludes on Sunday, December 21, 2025 (Dhanu 06, 1201 Malayalam Era). Each day of the festival is marked by scriptural recitations, homams and group prayers, invoking the blessings of Lord Ayyappa for health, prosperity and spiritual growth. The recitation of the Bhagavatha is conducted by learned scholars and priests providing both devotional experience and scriptural knowledge to the devotees.
