നെൽപ്പറ സമർപ്പണം 2026 കരിമുട്ടത്ത് ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം ആലപ്പുഴ | Nelpara Samarpanam 2026 Karimuttathu Devi Temple Alappuzha
The Nelpara Samarpanam is a sacred annual ritual held at Karimuttathu Devi Temple in Alappuzha dedicated to honoring and seeking the blessings of Goddess Karimuttathu Amma. This festival is a significant event for devotees in the region, combining devotion, tradition and community participation in a spiritually uplifting experience.
In 2026, the temple will host the 3rd Nelpara Samarpanam continuing the legacy of offering sacred rituals and ceremonial practices to the deity.
The festival is meticulously planned with a series of devotional events throughout the day. The morning begins with the Bhagavatha Parayanam, a recitation of sacred texts allowing devotees to engage in prayer and reflection. Following this, offerings are presented to the goddess in the traditional form known as Nelpara, symbolizing prosperity, devotion, and gratitude. Devotees actively participate in the preparation and presentation of these offerings making the event a true expression of collective faith and reverence.
A key highlight of the festival is the Kuthiyottam performance, a traditional art form performed by specially trained youths of the community. Accompanied by rhythmic songs and ceremonial music, this ritual adds a vibrant and dynamic dimension to the festival reflecting the deep cultural heritage of Kerala. In addition to the devotional rituals, the temple organizes Annadanam, the offering of food to devotees fostering a sense of unity and service among participants.
