Celebrated with deep devotion and traditional grandeur, this festival reflects the rich cultural and religious heritage of Kerala temple traditions.
One of the most important highlights of the festival is the sacred Pongala ritual where hundreds of women devotees gather to prepare offerings in earthen pots as a symbol of gratitude and prayer to the Goddess. The atmosphere during Pongala is filled with devotion, chants and the fragrance of offerings creating a spiritually uplifting experience for all participants. The ritual signifies prosperity, fulfillment of wishes and divine blessings.
