കണ്ണമംഗലം ശ്രീ മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ തിരുവുത്സവം 2026, ഡിസംബർ / ജനുവരി (ധനു മാസത്തിൽ) 10 ദിവസത്തെ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവമായി ആഘോഷിക്കും.

Kannamangalam Sree Mahadeva Temple is located at Kannamangalam, near Chettikulangara Devi temple. The shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that Kannamangalam Mahadevan is the fatherly figure of Chettikulangara Devi. Legend also says that this deity was once worshipped by sage Kanwa. The annual festival is observed in Malayalam month of dhanu. It is one of the oldest temples in Alappuzha.
The annual festival is observed in the Malayalam month of dhanu (December/January). There is a flag hoisting ceremony marking the beginning of the festival. The shrine is traditionally decorated with plantain, coconut leaves, flowers, leaves, traditional lamps and lights. There are special poojas and offerings during the festival period. Also annadanam is held on all days.

Traditional performing arts and music and dance are staged during the festival period. Thousands of devotees throng to witness the events and rituals. Numerous cultural programs and temple arts are
performed along with religious discourses on all days of the festival. Caparisoned elephants, melam, fireworks and sheevali are part of the festival. On the final day Arattu (holy bath) takes place, on Thiruvathira star, birth star of Lord Shiva. The utsava murti of the deity is taken out of the
shrine for ritual bathing on this day.
