Bharani Mahotsavam at Thrichattukulam Sri Mahadevar Temple in Alappuzha is one of the most anticipated and vibrant temple festivals in Kerala attracting devotees and cultural enthusiasts from across the region.
This auspicious festival is celebrated with grandeur and devotion reflecting the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the state. The festival is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and it provides an opportunity for devotees to offer prayers, seek blessings and participate in traditional rituals that have been preserved for generations.
The celebrations commence with Rudrabhishekam, a sacred ceremonial bathing of the deity which is considered highly auspicious and spiritually purifying.
