Thalickal Sree Mahadeva Temple Alappuzha

Thalickal Sree Mahadeva Temple is situated in Muttam, near Kottakkam in Pallipad village, east of Haripad, in Karthikappally taluk of Alappuzha district, Kerala.

It is believed to be one of the ancient Thali temples established and consecrated by Lord Parasurama, dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva.

Festivals

The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :

Vinayaka Chaturthi

Vinayaka Chaturthi is celebrated here in the Malayalam month of Chingam with great devotion. The festivities include the performance of Ashtadravya Mahaganapathi Homam and various special poojas dedicated to Lord Ganapathy.

Sivaratri Maholsavam

Sivaratri Maholsavam at Thalickal Sree Mahadeva Temple is observed with great devotion and rituals. The celebrations include Shiva Purana Parayanam, Kalasha Pooja, Kalasha Abhishekam, Deeparadhana, and special Sivaratri Poojas throughout the night. Devotees participate in large numbers to seek blessings from Lord Shiva on this auspicious occasion.
