Maha Shivaratri

Thiruvathira
During Thiruvathira, women typically observe fasting and perform various rituals to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati for marital harmony, longevity, and prosperity. The festival is marked by special poojas, traditional dances (Thiruvathirakali), and offerings made at Shiva temples.
