Celebrated in the Malayalam month of Makaram, Thaipooyam honors Lord Subrahmanya's victory over the demon Tarakasura. Devotees participate in colorful processions and perform various rituals to seek the deity's blessings.
Skanda Shasti
Skanda Shasti, dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya, is observed for six days, culminating in Soorasamharam, the victory of the deity over the demon Surapadma. Devotees fast and engage in prayers and rituals during this period.
