Kalasha Ulsavam
At Karimkuttikavu Sree Vishnumaya Sree Bhadrakali Devasthanam, the Kalasha Ulsavam is a vibrant ritual festival observed during the Malayalam month of Medam. The celebration includes Kalamezhuthum Pattum, where colorful ritualistic floor drawings (kalam) are created and traditional songs are sung in devotion to the deity. The festival also features Ganapathi Homam, Bhagavathi Seva, Usha Pooja, Deeparadhana, and Navakam, invoking divine blessings and spiritual prosperity for all devotees.
Vishu
Vishu is a significant festival celebrated in Kerala, marking the Malayalam New Year. It usually falls in the month of Medam (April) and symbolizes prosperity and new beginnings. The day begins with Vishukkani a traditional arrangement of auspicious items viewed at dawn, followed by special poojas, fireworks, feasting, and the giving of Vishukkaineetam (gifts or money) to younger family members.
