Lord Shiva is one of the principal deities in Hinduism, known as the destroyer of evil and the transformer among the Trimurti, the Hindu Trinity.
Goddess Parvati is the consort of Lord Shiva and is revered as the divine mother in Hinduism. She is worshipped as the embodiment of Shakti, the feminine energy of the universe.
Festivals
The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Navarathri
During these nine days, people worship the nine forms of Goddess Durga. The forms include Maa Shailputri, Maa Brahmacharini, Maa Chandraghanta, Maa Kushmanda, Maa Skandamata, Maa Katyayani, Maa Kaalratri, Maa Mahagauri, and Maa Siddhidatri. Each form holds significance and represents different aspects of the goddess.
Khoshayatra
During Khoshayatras, the deity, often an idol or representation of a Hindu god or goddess, is taken from the temple to visit nearby villages, towns, or agricultural fields. This practice is common in certain regions of India, where the deity is considered to bless the land and its people, particularly during harvest seasons or important festivals.
