Cherumann Sree Mahavishnu Temple is an ancient and revered shrine located in Muttakkulam, Kattachira (near Kattanam) in the Alappuzha district of Kerala.
The temple is dedicated primarily to Lord Mahavishnu, worshipped here as the benevolent preserver of the universe. Within the sacred precincts of the temple, separate sanctums are devoted to Lord Ganapathy and Lord Ayyappa, both revered by devotees for removing obstacles and granting blessings.
Thrikkodiyettu Maholsavam at the temple is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Kumbham with great devotion. The festival includes special poojas, vibrant deeparadhana, and concludes with the sacred Arattu ceremony, attracting numerous devotees.
Ashtami Rohini Maholsavam at the temple is celebrated in the month of Chingam with devotion and festivity. The celebrations include Bhagavatha Parayanam, ceremonial Abhishekam, and the traditional Uriyadi, drawing devotees to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna.
